Among other famous entrepreneur in Malaysia, Tan Sri Tatparanandam Ananda Krishnan is a self-made billionaire who keeps a determinedly low profile but is rapidly expanding his business empire. He is a businessman, an entrepreneur and philanthropist. The reason I choose Tan Sri Tatparanandam Ananda Krishnan is because although he is the billionaire, he is humble and stay low profile compare to others. In my opinion, his humble attitude and his way of succession should learned by many young entrepreneur.

Tan Sri Tatparanandam Ananda Krishnan is a Tamil Malaysian of Sri Lankan Tamil origin businessman and philanthropist. According to Forbes, Tan Sri Tatparanandam Ananda Krishnan is the Malaysia's second-richest person. He also a second wealthiest in Southast Asia behind Tan Sri Robert Kuok, and number 82 in the world. He had a real time net worth of $9.4 bilion.

Tan Sri Tatparanandam Ananda Krishnan was born in 1938 in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur. His parents were Sri Lanka origin. Tan Sri Tatparanandam Ananda Krishnan study at VIvekananda Tamil School and Victoria Institution in Kuala Lumpur. After that he attended University of Melbourne, Australia to complete his degree. Finally, he holds an MBA from Harvard University in 1964.

Currently, Tan Sri Tatparanandam Ananda Krishnan owns Maxis Communications and MEASAT Broadcast Network Systems. This two companies are the 2 of the biggest communications companies in Malaysia. Maxis now is the biggest cellular phone company in Malaysia with more than 5 millions subscribers and about 30% of Malaysia's market share whereas MEASAT own 2 communication satellites which offers 30 television channels and 16 radio channels. Tan Sri Tatparanandam Ananda Krishnan also slump in shares of Bumi Armada, an offshore oilfield services provider.

The interested things is that Tan Sri Tatparanandam Ananda Krishnan had only one son. His son do not show interested in heritage the wealth of his father but become a monk and name as Ajahn Siripanno. However, Tan Sri Tatparanandam Ananda Krishnan is also a devout Buddhist and known as great philanthropist, especially in the field of education. How Tan Sri Tatparanandam Ananda Krishnan Develop His Business and
His Business Development

The first business of Tan Sri Tatparanandam Ananda Krishnan venture was the Malaysian consultancy MAI holding Sdn Bhd. He was the founding director of state oil giant Petronas and was a low profile of the central bank, Bank Negara, between 1982 and 1987. There is also been said that Tan Sri Tatparanandam Ananda Krishnan is the one who selling the idea of building the Petronas Twin Towers in the early 1990s to the former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad.  

In the beginning of 1990s, Tan Sri Tatparanandam Ananda Krishnan start to building his multimedia empire which now consist of Maxis Communication, MEASAT Broadcast Network Systems and SES World Skies. Currently, he has business interests entertainment (Astro), space (3 Satellites), oil, power, shipping, telecommunications (Maxis in Malaysia and Aircell in India), property and gaming which is Pan Pools Malaysia. According to the sundaytimes.ik, his companies operate in most part ofs of South East Asia and a quarter of his wealth is coming from the gambling business which consist of lottery and horse-racing wagering.

In all lifespan, Tan Sri Tatparanandam Ananda Krishnan is not only achieve his great success in the business but also contribute to the charity and foundations. He has donated as much as RM160 millions for providing developing and education opportunities for Bumiputra Malaysia.
